423/50126 Mar 2025

Kyiv, Ukraine - March 26, 2025
The Science and Technology Center in Ukraine (STCU) is pleased to announce the successful delivery of 1,500 units of Udenyca (Pegfilgrastim) to Ukraine as part of Project P824, aimed at strengthening the country’s preparedness for medical emergencies resulting from nuclear incidents. The medication has been received by the State Institution "Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine" and is securely stored for distribution to key medical centers.
This initiative, funded by the Norwegian Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority (DSA), plays a crucial role in ensuring Ukraine has access to life-saving treatment for acute radiation syndrome (ARS). In addition to this delivery, STCU has coordinated with Direct Relief, AvKARE, and Coherus BioSciences to transport an additional 6,000 doses, bringing the total to 7,500 units available for emergency response.
Project P824 is part of a broader effort to enhance Ukraine’s medical response capabilities. The NUDET Medical Kits, which include ARS countermeasures alongside burn and blast treatment supplies, are designed to support first responders working in austere and field-based environments. Ensuring access to these resources is critical in providing rapid and effective care for those affected by radiation exposure.
The successful completion of this delivery reflects the strong collaboration between the Government of Ukraine, DSA, STCU, Coherus BioSciences, AvKARE, and Direct Relief. STCU expresses its deep appreciation to all partners involved and extends special thanks to the Ukrainian people for their resilience and strength, which continue to inspire global support.
