425/50203 Apr 2025
The Science and Technology Center in Ukraine (STCU), acting on behalf of the IEEE Magnetics Society, conducted a competition for scientists, engineers, and students in the field of magnetics. This competitive program provides individual grants of $2,000 and group grants of $10,000 for a one-year period. The program aims to support the research and professional development of individuals in the magnetics field, emphasizing excellence, innovation, and community growth.
The STCU received 53 applications and, through a competitive selection process, identified 14 research projects (attached) to be funded in 2025. Financial support will be provided to 54 magnetics researchers, including 15 females and 11 students. The supported projects are based in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Lviv.
The award is subject to the signing of contractual obligations and confirmation that all participants:
• Hold a permanent position (either full-time or part-time) at a Ukrainian research institute or University;
• Reside in Ukraine for at least 50% of the time during the project implementation; for the group projects, all team members reside in Ukraine for at least 50% of the time during the project implementation.
The project duration is 12 months, and the final report must be submitted to the STCU within the last month of the project. Alternatively, the final report can be replaced by one or more peer-reviewed scientific publications with acknowledgment of this program.
