Mr. Gerson Sher, the President of US Industry Coalition visited the STCU on April 2-4, 2007. Mr. Sher was previously the founding President and Executive Director of the U.S. Civilian Research and Development Foundation (CRDF). He was in Kyiv reviewing multiple projects of the US Dept. of Energy’s Initiatives for Proliferation Prevention. During his visit to the E.O.Paton Electric Welding Institute, he also had the pleasure of meeting his old friend, Academician B. E. Paton, and his staff. Also present were Vic Korsun, STCU DED (US) and Iryna Tomashevska, STCU Senior Specialist. Acad. Paton and Mr. Sher reviewed new partnering opportunities for the institute and for the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, of which Acad. Paton is the President.
