EU-CIS Seminar - New Trends in Infectious Diseases in Lyon, France, 26-28 November 2008

On 26-28 November 2008, STCU co-organized the EU-CIS Seminar - New Trends in Infectious Diseases in Lyon, France, on the occasion of the French EU Presidency. The event was attended by over 70 Scientists, and included participants from the International Science and Technology Center (www.istc.ru ) as well as a representation of French, European, and international experts (e.g., World Health Organization). STCU proposed 7 presentations from project participants located in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Ukraine. On 28 November, STCU Deputy Executive Director Michel Zayet (EU) led a group visit and potential parternership discussions with the biotechnology cluster, Lyon Biopole (www.lyonbiopole.org ), allowing for establishing first hand contacts.
