Serbian Nuclear Operator’s Capabilities Strengthened with EU Funds

On June 27th, 2023, the European Commission (EC) and the Public Company Nuclear Facilities of Serbia (PC NFS) will meet Serbian authorities and academia to celebrate the successful completion of an EU funded project enhancing Serbia’s nuclear safeguards capabilities.

Representatives from Ministry of Interior, Radiation and Nuclear Safety and Security Directorate - Srbatom, Security Information Agency, Customs, Ministry of Science and Technology, University of Belgrade, and University of Novi Sad will join the event and visit the new laboratories on this opportunity to exchange on how the new facilities will serve Serbia’s nuclear safety needs.

Media representatives are warmly invited to attend the media event showcasing the results of the initiative funded by the European Union, attend a tour to the laboratories and have the opportunity to exchange with the attendees.

The EU project delivered state-of-the-art instruments for detection, identification and characterization of nuclear material and modernized infrastructure of the radiochemical laboratory, including training of employees for new measurements. English and Serbian are the working languages.

Translation will be provided.
