STCU Field Officers Meeting

The regular fourth regional Information Field Officers (IFOs) and Field Officers (FOs) meeting was held in Kyiv at the Sanatorium “Pushcha Ozerna” on 27 April, 2004. IFOs and FOs informed the STCU Management about several proposals that are of special significance STCU projects coordination activities.
Representatives from Lviv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Tashkent, Tbilisi and Baku provided information about the number of proposals submitted to the STCU in each region and the quantity of funded projects among them. They also presented their reports highlighting the possibilities of how to conduct more activities in the regions, increase the quality of proposals and enlarge the number of Partners in the regions. A separate document will be prepared incorporating their mutual ideas as for augmentation of the success rates for funded proposals.
In the afternoon Project Coordinators from the Kyiv Secretariat joined the meeting in order to participate in the discussions. Peter Mutovkin, STCU Project Coordinator, made a slide presentation with short analysis of current project coordination practices and processes in order to suggest possible re-engineering of options. The round-table discussion about Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats was very helpful for further improvement of the coordination of projects.
