NSAU-NASA Cooperation in Space Research Workshop

Kyiv. On 21-22 October 2004 the STCU participated in a workshop dedicated to discussing ground-based research in life sciences and physical sciences entitled NSAU-NASA Cooperation in Space Research. STCU Executive Director Andrew Hood provided addressed the workshop participants on behalf of the Center. The workshop was a joint initiative of the National Space Agency of Ukraine (NSAU), the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NASU) and the National Aeronautic and Space Administration (NASA) of the USA. The goals of the Workshop were to foster mutually beneficial Ukraine - USA cooperation in space. This event followed the Meeting of the International Space Life Science Working Group (ISLSWG) which was held on 18-20 October 2004. Experts and interested scientists from ISLSWG member agencies as well as International Microgravity Strategic Planning Group (IMSPG) member agencies took part in the discussions.
