Meeting with the Head of the Innovation Agency of Georgia

In April, 2014 Vic Korsun, Deputy Executive Director (US) met the Deputy Minister of Economics of Georgia, Mr. Irakli Kashibadze, who has just been named as Chairman of Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency, to discuss STCU transformational changes, STCU’s Partner program, and recommendations for scientific and educational leadership in Georgia through technology transfer, commercialization and start-up companies. Discussions were fruitful. He was very supportive of the work that STCU is doing in Georgia to support science and to promote innovation.

He just opened Innovation Week in Georgia, a two-day conference held at the Georgian expo-center. Discussions were fruitful.
