STCU Holds Training Seminar on Biotechnology Proposal Writing and Presentations

Key scientists from all of the veterinary institutes of Ukraine, as well as the Anti-Plague Institute in Odessa, participated in a training session which included a round table discussion and case studies, provided by representatives of the Science and Technology Center in Ukraine (STCU) and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). Dr. Richard Weller of PNNL presented “Preparing for BIO 2004 or Meeting with Any Potential Commercial Partner” which provided training for scientists with an opportunity to present technologies that might be appropriate for investment and commercialization in collaboration with industrial partners. Specific proposals were discussed with regards to how they would be further handled including submission to potential U.S. commercial partners.
